Wooden honored as sports' greatest coach

John Wooden's friends, family and former players all say they didn't need an award from a national magazine to confirm the identity of the greatest coach in American sports history.

The above quote from the article is a marvelous quote from a marvelous man. He seems to have been a man of high integrity compared to typical coaches, in addition to being an outstanding coach.

Based on my limited knowledge, I think the "sports experts" chosen by The Sporting News selected the right person as the greatest coach.

    I think any poll like this is subjective. But, I thought it was fun to read the persons these people selected as the greatest coaches.
