No question that SOS loves Tebow, plus it's not in his blood to mess with Florida. SOS has never felt that PRE-SEASON All -Star teams mean very much because after the season is over is when you have either earned it or not.

Spurrier is and has always been a wimpy crybaby. He totally bombed in the NFL when he faced real men instead of immature college students. The people who played with him and for him are hesitant to tell the true about His Royal Wimpiness. He was a good football player at one time. He was given players at Florida, who in spite of the moodiness of His Royal Wimpiness, were able to put points on the board and win many, many games. His players AND coaches have always talked behind his back about how little Spurrier's cajones were when he coached at practices and in real games. Florida is very lucky not to have him as a coach any longer. South Carolina will dump this charlatan very soon. Adios Senor Wimp!

Spurrier, is driven by success, which sometimes causes him to lose his sanity.I think he is one of the better coaches in college ball. I am a loyal Miami Hurricane fan so my comment is not bias. He is a master motivator, I am surprised Notre Dame never tried to get Spurrier on board. That Weis guy is a straight LOSER!

I have no doubt in MY mind that it was intentional. His program at SC is struggling and will never achieve the success of Florida...so (believe it or not) he's jealous and doesn't want to show any support for anything Florida. I'm sure he's sorry he ever left Florida. I feel the SC adventure only proves that while he can coach great players to championships...he can't get average players to perform at that level. Great coach? Nah...but he's a good COLLEGE coach.

As I stated in a previous thread devoted to this, Tebow is on record as saying that he would not have attended UF if Spurrier had still been coach. If you think Spurrier didn't mind that bit of candor from Tebow, then you don't know Spurrier.

He would think that Tebow was dissing him & that his comment might hurt his recruiting (some kid that really likes Tebow finds out about that quote & starts thinking 'if Saint Timmy didn't want to play for him, why should I want to'). Thus, Spurrier leaves him off the team for spite.

the "ole ball coach" is a master at the mind game, just ask anyone from Tennessee, "YOU CAN'T SPELL CITRUS BOWL WITHOUT UT"

Let it go, it does not matter. The truth is that Tebow is the best college quarterback for all the reasons we all are aware of.

Remember Florida fans, as I am, without the ole ball coach we probably would still be the perenial next year team in the SEC and in the National Championship picture.

Forget the way he left and admire him for what he did for the Florida Football program.

I fully believe Spurrier intentionally left Tebow out in the cold cause of UF keeps beating his ash and this is one way to get back at him for the way UF has done since he left and Urban Myers took over and has done for the Gators!!
