Players or ex players should leave it to the FULL time players, not closers who play 1/2 inning a game or DH's, to decide how a player should act as a leader. I would rather have a utility player give me leadership or advice than part timers. You got your $'s so let it go, you are not a Met anymore.
I agree with Perlamn. Congress needs to keep out of things they are clueless about. Then again, that's about everything, isn't it?

I didn't think that Franco or Donovan were really whining. Sounds to me more like they were just stating their opinion.
I thought Harvey Perlman was the Jew who put together all those boy bands like Back Street Boys, etc. and then ripped everyone off. Of course, he cried a river when he got busted and sentenced to 25 years. Now you talk about whiner of the week....
What exactly does the fact that Harvey and/or Lou Perlman was Jewish have to do with anything. I didn't see anyone else's religion or color being cited in any story at all. What's with you? Why don't you tell us all about the things you have done in your life and then tell us what religion and ethnicity YOU are, so that all of the people who share your religion or ethnicity, would then be branded with the same garbage you spout. How absurd and bigoted.

Congress may screw up a lot of things, but how can anyone argue the current BCS system is anything but a beauty contest? Let a 16 team playoff determine the champion. And what difference does it make if Perlman is Jewish?
