Should the Pistons hire Bill Laimbeer as their next head coach?

The Pistons need to hire a coach that some of the Free Agents that are available would like to play for. I guess that pretty much leaves Avery Johnson.

He's been with the team for what, 5 years now - he's one of the 50 greatest players and has a ton of respect not only from his current players but all around the league! He seems like the obvious choice...why have a person of that caliber sitting second fiddle when you can bump him up and let him show his talents? He still has the best coaching record out of any coach from the Charlotte Hornets...

If Laimbeer's playing days are any indication, he's the perfect coach. Mentally and physically tough, he got the most out of himself.
