So where are ALL the countless articles, videos, and other methods of praise for Woods now, of how immortal and unbeatable he'd be this week, that we were pounded with without mercy the last week here on NBC sports ???
Barnes 3rd shot out of the deep rough on the 10th, 3rd round, He addressed his ball and took a back swing and cleared deep grass out of the way and did not complete his swing.... You can clearly see this from the airial shot.. You can not clear your swing path without completing your swing...
rule 13-2 violation - he took numerous practice swings very close to his ball - definite violation!
NBC commented on the numerous calls and emails about this but only talked about grounding his club and practice swings, which are all legal.... What I'm talking about is the fact he grounded his club took it back along his intended swing path and clear about tall grass with that move. Rule violation. You get a clear view of this from the aerial tv shot. I played it back a number of times.. I got called on that same penalty during a Texas state Open tourny..
That should be a penalty...
What's up with all the coverage of Tiger and Phil? There are plenty of other great golfers on the PGA tour that deserve to get air time too.....especially Steve Stricker....in the top 10 and 5th on the PGA money list....why don't we see any coverage of his play?
Why don't you announcers just report the game as it happens instead of trying to "make a story?" That's the reason I quit watching NBC News years ago. Just give me the facts. I can figure out how I "feel" about it. No one can beat the Golf Channel's reporting anyway.
