Hey Dade County - The Heat is talking with Iverson...now there 's a good pick! He can't even show up for practice! PRACTICE...we only talking bout practice!
Sentamental favorite is the Celtics........But what if NBA players were paid based on what they produce and perform at the moment....LIKE PRO GOLF.....What team has the players to win the title when it's pay for "what" you did right now and "not" for what you "might" produce in the future..........What's the incentive to play if you have a 5 or 10 year deal and the money is guaranteed and in the bank??.......The whole game would be revolutionized if pay was based on criteria for producing "here and now"..........With that said....Celtics in the Finals and winning in 7.......
Lakers have a better team, even with the departure of Ariza, they still the favorites to win again... Artest will finally get the chance to play with Odom and Kobe... Lakers for life !!!
too close to call. Boston with Rasheed and KG back in the lineup. LA with Artest. Cavs with Shaq and Lebron. Spurs with wingman Jefferson. Magic with Vince.
... will still go with the defending champs. Go Lakers!
I'll just say this to the Lakers' fans who are assuming that L.A. will reapeat in 2010, some of the teams in the East have really loaded up. Boston has Perkins, Garnett, Allen, Pierce, Rondo, Rasheed Wallace, Marquis Daniels and a newer slimmer version of Glen "Big Baby" Davis for their first 8. I don't see Boston wearing down but I do see them wearing the opposition down. When Garnett went down last year Allen, Davis, Pierce and Rondo were playing some serious minutes, especially in the playoffs against Chicago. That won't happen this year. Come May and June I see a relatively fresh Celtics team rolling into the playoffs and with enough talent to do serious damage.
The loss of Hedo Turkolo will hurt Orlando but they will still be formidable with addition of Vince Carter. Cleveland has the best player on the planet (Sorry Kobe but it's true) and they just added the "Big Diesel" and they will be very tough. Come May the Cavs and the Celtics will be squaring off for the Eastern Conference championship with the eventual winner the team with the better regular season record and therefore home court advantage. The Lakers could be out-physicaled in the finals by either the C's or the Cavs. If L.A. repeats this year they'll really have to earn it this time. Both Boston and Cleveland will be featuring playoff and championship series tested players. Either team will be superior to the 08'-09' version of the Orlando Magic. The whole NBA season should be thoroughly entertaining this year. I can't wait.
SPURS WILL WIN! it's all obvious you guys.
SPURS will win OF course:D

I like LeBron's chances with Shaq, anyday; not taking anything away from the Lakers and the Celtics. And I'm a Knickerbockers fan.
Winning just gets to be a habit... like the Bulls of the `90's!
The Lakers Rock! come on kobe pau artest bynum and odom, who could possibly beat them? This lakers team will rule the nba for several years to come !
