The Celtics don't have a chance against a healthy laker team. Too much Andrew too much Trevor. Andrew was out, and Trevor was just coming back from injury. I can't wait to see next year. Don't think the Cavs will have the same year next year. The Magic taught everyone how to play them. Let Lebron get his 45 points and guard everyone else. It made Lebron become even more self-centered and the team self-destructed. Did anyone notice in the last quarter when the Cavs went 1 4 with Lebron at the top of the key that the entire Cav offense stagnated? Pietrus played him great. Teams with huge scorers rarely win. Kobe didn't win when he tried to score huge, and Michael didn't win when he tried to do it himself. You've got to be a team player to win a team game.
Nope your one and done when the JAZZ have a healthy team......This coming season we will be healthy and the rest of the west needs to start worrying again!!
Denver, Houston, or Portland will be formidable contenders (could've beaten the Magic in the finals this year), but LA is going to improve and will be harder to defend. Out of the East 'll probably be Miami or Chicago, maybe Detroit. Boston faded before KG went down; Cleveland, well Cleveland. They still think it's theirs to take; Orlando: if they sign their best player, they still won't repeat, if they don't, they won't win their division and be lucky to get out of the first round. Howard will sell product and get a lot of air play, though. LA wins in five again, unless it's the Heat, then it goes the distance with the Lakers winning game seven at home.
Why o why has everyone forgotten about the UTAH JAZZ..........we have one bad year so we are out of it..???? NO..the only reason we had a terrible season is because 95% of our team was INJURED FOR MOST OF THE YEAR! Our starting 5 players only played the last 14 games with each other.......so how in the hell are we supposed to be successful when that happens??? Everybody watch out for them this next season because it is going to be a different story!!! GO JAZZ!!!
And as for HOUSTON......i wish you would of beat the gay lakers....but just be happy you got out of the first round....cause when it comes time to play us (the JAZZ) again....its going to be the same story for you guys....ONE AND DONE!!
With the signing of of Richard Jefferson and the acquisition of DeJuan Blair (possible signing of Rasheed Wallace or some other big man), the Spurs now stand in the way of a Laker repeat. Come on people, face the facts: the Spurs are back. Try double-teaming now-our outside shot will kill you. Jefferson shoots about 40% from beyond the arc.
If the lakers are able to keep lamar odom, it should be a complete walkthrough just like the bulls of the 90's. Ron Artest brings the "Dennis Rodman" intensity to a team that at times was walked all over, odom will be a more versatile "kukoc" without the 3 point range - kobe is well kobe - and gasol is a larger scottie pippen...damn jackson, wish the bulls kept him - the dynasty would have rang for years to come - now the bulls lose gordon! @!$%#, i might as well be a laker fan now
It's hillarious that everyone thinks Artest and Kobe can coexist. They can't and they won't.
The Spurs will once again emerge from the mess. Duncan, Gooden, Mcdyess down low? Choice. Ginobili, Parker, Mason, AND Jefferson. Fast! Plus they picked up Blair in the draft. Their top 7 is as gifted as any, and they have 1 of the top 5 PGs in the game in Parker. Celtics- Rondo; Lakers - Fisher; Cavs-Williams, none of which are all-stars.
They've made all the right quite moves, and everybody will be scratching their heads when LA gets complacent this year.
Note to Lakers fans, Artest is no Pippen to Kobe's Jordan. It's rediculous that the nuggets are even up there. They made a good run, but Kenyon is bound to get that twitch going again.
The Celtics should win over the Lakers, a repeat of the 2008 Finals. Yes, the Lakers have improved, but the Celtics will too with the addition of Rasheed Wallace and a healthy KG. Celtics in 6.
Specially now that we have Ron Artest. Rumors are, If they cannot get Lamar Odom to sign, He can sign with anyone, because the Lakers are courting Amare Stoudamire, YES AMARE a Laker.
You heard it FIRST, from the most reliable of the them all!! GO LAKERS
Dynasty Baby! As long as Kobe is there and Phil, No problem Lakers all the way! Shaq is no threat anymore........Lakers appear weak at times but kick your butt when it counts!!!!!! Just like my dodgers they are never out of a game. Thank you very much!
The Lakers will repeat.. no other team in the West can beat them and any team coming out to the East will be so beat up by the time they get to the finals, the Lakers will take them in 6. I just hope it's Boston so the Lakers can get even from two seasons ago.
Spurs in 6 over the Lakers for the Western Conference finals after an Artest meltdown - then Spurs in 6 over Cleveland after a Shaq meltdown for the 2010 Championship... why?? Cause the Spurs are a Team of Individuals while LA and Cleveland are just a group of Individuals that are on a team...
I like the Spurs, but I just don't think they match up with the Lakers' talent. Yes, Artest has his problems, but the guy defends very well and can only help the Lakers down on the blocks. Spurs needs a healthy Duncan and Ginobili.
Whaaaattt! You guys are tripping, the Celt's just added Rasheed and will aquire another piece in the next few weeks, The lakers got lucky and will not get by again, especcially if they have to go to Boston.

ROCKETS dammit!!!
Rockets dammit! all day.

cavs will win because they are the best the only reason why magic beat them is because they were not on they Agame like they was all year.
"The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Orlando Magic in Game 5 of the NBA finals on Sunday, claiming their 15th NBA title."
How'd this get past the editors? 5 in the 80's and 4 in the 90's and 00's equals 9 titles.
Long way to go to catch the Boston Celtics with 17 titles.
