The Buffalo Bills decided to take a chance on Terrell Owens, the talented but high-maintenance receiver, signing him to a $6.5 million, one-year deal on March 7.
As a Bills fan for its entire existence , I'm mostly baffled by why TO would ever go to a godforesaken wasteland like Buffalo (born and raised there, so I can say that - not anyone else). Basically I don't see how it can hurt, since the coaches appear to lack some basic knowledge about how to manage the game. Perhaps they'll be so distracted handling TO, it'll let the rest of team play the game properly.
well, i gotta say, ive been a die hard bills fan since about '87... i think this was a pretty smart move, but to say im not worried would be stupid. if trent edwards stays healthy this year, i think you may see one of the top five receiving tandoms in the league. even if he does cry and do all the stupid stuff we know and love / hate him for, look at how this opens up our offense. watch lynch go back to the pro bowl, watch lee evens reach his prime. its going to be exciting if people stay healthy. will i go out and get a T.O. jersey no... i havent found a bill that i would like to have his jersy since jim kelley.. which im wearing right now lol. maybe a donte whitner jersey is coming in the future lol. lets see if he sticks around.
sorry, TO is a good player who would still be in dallas if the cowboys were winning. one wideout doesnt screw up a team. however, a good defense with a crappy off. coordinator and overated qb will. at least we got rid of Roy
What the NYG & Skin's get away scott free. I thought sure Bucket Head Owens was planing on tearing down the NFC east before moving on to another div. or conf.
49ers , Eagles , Cowboy's were the first to get s#%* on. Now it Buffalo's turn, don't think you'll get anything more than one or two years and then it'll happen. First Lee Evans get's all the passes, then he'll cry for his QB, QB's manhood called into question, shouting match on the sideline and on and on and on. Bills fans you'll be sorry!
I think he's got potential to prove the nay-sayers wrong on this one. Maybe I'm being optimistic, but I honestly think he wants to leave a positive mark on his NFL career. He will be able to have the spotlight to himself in Buffalo (although the spotlight of Buffalo isn't large) and he'll be able to make an impact for the team and community.
The Bills have nothing to Lose. I was not going to renew my season tickets when I heard Jauron was coming back. There were games that were unwatchable, boring and downright putrid last year and several times, comments were made that the players looked comatose, etc. Now we have a guy who wants to win;what's wrong with that , be exciting, put Buffalo back in the spotlight, etc. Sure he's a blabbermouth, but the media LOVES that. I always thought he was enormously talented , and if he can keep the whining down, we'll be a better team-cannot be worse than last few years.
He is one of the best wide receivers out there. The problem is that people misunderstand him. He is a hard worker who wants to win everytime. I'll rather have him on my team than Romo.
Good for you T.O. So what, Buffalo right now needs T.O. or the likes of him. T.O. will do well at Buffalo. For crying out loud, give T.O. a chance. This man has talent. He will show us a great game. Besides, what's the Buffalo got to lose. If anything, I will watch Buffalo when they play. Just like to see owns catch that ball. And, boy can he do it. And most of the times he gets the difficult throws. Go T.O. and have a great season... Fro 6. million, I would play with any team....Eat your hurts out critics.
I think they are smart to sign him to a 1-year contract. During his first year at both Philly and Dallas he was quiet....and productive. As much as I can't stand him, I think he will do well in his 1-year. After all, if he wants to play after that he will need to put up big numbers to get another contract somewhere.
The reporter who wrote this is...... Does he forget people actually live & work in Buffalo? Don't insult us with the Donald Trump/Buffalo dumb comment. It brings excitment to this town if nothing else, period.
You idiots in the media!!...Buffalo is no longer a blue-collar city, does not have the worst weather in the country and has a ton to do. In fact I'll even go as far as to say it's one of the best cities in the country and is way underrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
T.O. is an idiot. Lucky for him he doesn't have to use his brain to get a pay check, all he has to do is just run around on a green rectangle and try to catch an odd shaped ball. I don't see Corporate America trying to scoop him up. Gee, I wonder why....
WOW!! A Jim "I'll take you to the prom 4 times but don't expect me to stick around for the spotlight dance" Kelly jersey!!!" I haven.t seen one of those in years!! Where did you get it? The all time losers hall of fame?
I think the Bills have bought themselves a bunch of trouble. It doesn't matter where T.O. is playing, he will still disrupt the team's normal operation with his whining about not getting the ball enough. It'll be interesting to see when the Bills will put him on the bench where he belongs.
I said it a long time ago that the Cowboys should not waste the money or the position on T.O. after what he did with the Eagles no team should have picked him up...let him sit it out for year or two and find out what it's like to be a has been...I think he needs professional psychological help to identify his need to 'f' up all the time and his need for attention...I don't know the circumstances surrounding his upbringing but there are definitely some serious issues that need to be addressed...I have a hard time believing he will make it to the Hall of Fame...I would not vote for him...but I really dislike players who showboat all the time...and T.O. was one of the worst...I don't think he will be missed when his time is up...

Since when has TO ever been concerned with the "community"???
