I've never liked Shaq. Even when he played for 'my' Lakers, he was just something i had to 'put up with.' He can't speak two sentences without glorifying himself. He may play it off, sometimes, in a joking manner, but he has to be the most insecure person in pro sports. Alex Rodriguez excluded.

His time has passed anyway. He gets 'days off' in Phoenix. The Lakers need to get Bynum healthy. If that's not going to happen in time for the playoffs, they need to think about acquiring a backup center to bang with the Spurs and Celtics.

For all his greatness its like adding Dennis Rodman to the roster-- not worth the risk to the locker room. Besides, dont we have the best record in NBA? Why do we need Shaq? More of a liability than vise versa. And besides who would you trade for him? Gasol-- no way. Lamar? better not. Only way Shaq has a chance is a Karl Malone like deal where he comes in for the bare minmum to win a championship and in Shaq's case-- get his jersey retired on the wall.

I'm a huge Laker fan and the only way I would want him back is if he agreed to take a major paycut (they can't afford him) without giving up their best players and if he realizes that he will be coming off the bench once Bynum is back. I would take anyone over Chris Mihm as back-up. At least Bynum can shoot free throws.

The Suns took a major step back when they got Shaq because he thinks the ball should be fed to him all the time. He STILL needs to realize that the Suns are not his team and he's not even the best player on that team. That's why I don't see him ever taking a diminished role on the Lakers..he's the one that's too selfish.

Nah...Shaq and Kobe should have one at least 7 championships together,but egos,the media,Phil Jackson,whatever, got in the way,and this is how it should be.Kobe and the Lakers will be fine.
