This doesn't surprise me! Every once in a while when you go to watch previews of a movie on the "On Demand" section you will get a porn preview instead on the intended preview you chose. Lucky for me my child was only 1 when it happened about a year ago. If I remember correctly I was going to watch the movie "Barn Yard" and the clip was from "Cathouse" or something like that.
Right after Fitzgerald's TD. Perfect timing. HA! This is almost as good as octuplets girl. This super bowl clip will be coming to an internet provider near you. Check your local listings.
Yeah, and Comcast will prolly charge 'em extra for it. Hey, any chance one of you illiterate MSNBC goobers can spell check your headlines? It's 'Tucson,' not 'Tuscon.' Nice goin', kids.
I saw it. It was quite surreal to say the least. It was a foreign language porn to boot. Kinda made Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" pretty lame in comparison.
Earlier in the game there was a similar interruption where all of a sudden movie credits were being shown. And throughout the pregame there were incidents of the picture freezing up while the audio kept going. Comcast strikes again. They really do s*ck. And I get to pay a whole lot of money for that crap. What a country.
I suppose the pornographers are our in full force again to entice and seduce young, vulnerable kids, in particular. How they snuck their wares into the Super Bowl commercials is beyond me. Somebody paid them off, of that I am sure.
As somebody who has worked in the porn industry, we try very hard to keep our content away from children, and our actors and models are always consenting adults. Trust me, the porn industry does just fine with the business of willing adults only.
We have absolutely no interest in enticing and seducing young children as you have insinuated, and quite honestly, that's incredibly offensive.
elock: All of you pornographers are a sorry lot in my humble opinion. What a way to make a living! And don't tell me you are not polluting the minds of young kids with your porn commercial during the Super Bowl. My kids are not permitted to watch this stuff, and I have made sure they can't, so I resent this smut being foisted upon them by unscrupulous pornograhers during the Super Bowl airing. It was all planned to get people hooked on this stuff. It did not appear by accident. After all, big money is being made in this filthy field of work.
Sonia: I said I have worked in the industry. Actually, I'm currently an engineer and I'm not involved in the making or distributing of adult content.
This was clearly the fault of the cable company. If you honestly think that somebody in the porn inudstry paid to have that interruption you are seriously delusional and obviously have no idea how television media & the technology behind it works.
And how dare you judge me? You don't even know me! I'm an upstanding member of my community who volunteers my time and money to help the hungry and poor. I'm considering adopting a child. I'm faithful to my husband and I'm a loyal friend. My mother is even proud of me. The world would be a much better place without people like you teaching your children to hate people.
dlock: I think you might just have been a tad more "outstanding" in your community had you not involved yourself with pornography production. I hope your mother continues to be proud of you and your former actions. And how, as you accuse me of, am I teaching my children to hate people because I forbid them to watch pornograhy? Your thinking is totally strange and out of order.
Sonia... your post was full of judgement. I'm sure you say things like this around your children. Ergo, you are passing your judgmental values along to them, as children learn by example.
Quite honestly, I doubt you would have the courage to say any of this to my face, or to any other people involved in the porn industry. And because you clearly have no idea of how the pornography industry works, and how they try to keep it away from children at all costs, your opinion has no value whatsoever. Besides, children lack the two things that make the pornography industry thrive: money and hormones.
You should try stepping back and taking a balanced look at things instead of making judgements on false assumptions. It makes you a smarter, better person.
elock: If my post was "full of judgment" as you claim, so be it. I do not care what you think of me. I have seen several of my friends' marriages and relationships ruined beyond repair due to pornography addictions and cyber-sex. And kids with raging hormones get started early if they have the opportunity. And then they get hooked on the stuff. It is a shame and an eternal disgrace that production of pornography is lawful in this county, under the disguise of "free speech". It has absolutely nothing to do with free speech, but everything to do with money grubbing sleeze-balls and low-lives with absolutley no consciences who are mercilessly exploiting others for their own gain. And they know what they are doing. End of discussion!
I'm so glad that you've decided that it's the end of this discussion. Maybe you should move to Iran, where they share your values a little more closely. It has everything to do with free speech. Just because YOU find it offensive, doesn't mean everybody does. You assume that people are being "money grubbing sleeze-balls" and "low-lives with absolutely no conscience". YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE LIKE ME, and that description does not fit me or my friends who were are are still in the industry.
I love sex, and everybody I know who is in the pornography industry gets into it because they love sex, they like showing off, and they like the attention. People are not being "mercilessly exploited." Every single person that I worked with in the industry was doing it willingly.
You claim that you know people whose relationships were destroyed by porn; well, addictions of any kind cause problems in relationships. Maybe if the other partner had been a little more open-minded it wouldn't have ended the relationship. But not everybody who enjoys porn is addicted to it. In fact, those people are in the minority. And I've heard LOTS and lots and lots of people say that watching porn together has made their relationship & sex life better.
It's just a shame that you can't be a little more open-minded, especially considering that if you don't like porn, you can just ignore it.
I'm sure it sucked. I know my 3 year old barely has an attention span to see what's going on though. She would say "haha they are naked daddy" and I'll be like ya no big deal though, and she will forget it in 5 minutes.
Someone fubbed up pretty bad though. Were customers really calling in irate though? I can see calling in to inform them so they can fix it, but who really thinks a major cable company would do that on purpose...
There were similar ads played all across the US promoting godaddy.com I was completely surprised and horrified!! What is the world coming to?! There is no need for pornography to be advertised. Especially during a family event! If people are into that they need to keep it separate as well as private; but the fact that NBC allowed these advertisements to air makes my positive feelings for the tv network plummet. Pornography is a sickness that is degrading to both male and female. We should not be teaching our children that viewing this is material is a good idea and no big deal. And as far as the subject at hand goes; I hope that if Comcast was not responsible for this interruption that they find whomever is responsible and bring them to justice. This kind of behavior is sickening.
While you might see porn as degrading, I see it as empowering. Clearly we're not watching the same porn. :-)
Personally, I'd rather have my 15-year-old son performing some wrist exercises than having actual sex and risking an STI or impregnating a girl. The more taboo you make porn, the more desirable it becomes.
Yeah, those godaddy commercials were a bit over the top, especially on a family rated program. I consider myself pretty well rounded and the funny thing is I really don't get those commercials. What is godaddy anyway?
I think there's no doubt Comcast did the right thing in acting "mortified." Personally, I think the accidental porn is kind of funny. Part of me wonders if it was a technically saavy, disgruntled employee that pulled this one off, or if it was a technical glitch as one of the other commentors proposed. No doubt whoever is responsible for this was watching and laughing their butts off.

It was probably better than the lame ads.
I didn’t see the clip but I did see the….. cheerleaders !!
I thought this article was going to be about the "Go Daddy " commercials and some of the NBC line up previews.
Hope they find out who, that's it's made public and involves a steep fine.
Yeah, and Comcast will prolly charge 'em extra for it. Hey, any chance one of you illiterate MSNBC goobers can spell check your headlines? It's 'Tucson,' not 'Tuscon.' Nice goin', kids.

OOOOOOOOOOOO! Someone was watching when they weren't supposed to!!!
Were there any calls from appreciative viewers, or just "irate viewers?"

And I too want to file a complaint against Comcast for not airing this in this Washington DC area...
