Heading into Super Bowl XLIII, you voted David Tyree's improbable catch last year as the best play in the big game's history. James Harrison definitely makes it onto the list of top plays, but can it take the top spot?
A great play, yes...but what I'll remember is the back-breaking decision by Kurt Warner to throw the ball, and the even worse performance of the entire Arizona offense to bring the guy down.
#1 - Sun Feb 1, 2009 8:31 PM ESTIsn't it funny whenever the question is asked, right after the moment, is this the greatest play, was he the greatest QB, RB, whatever, the answer is always yes. How many of these voters have seen all or the majority of the Stupor Bowls? I know I have.

#3 - Sun Feb 1, 2009 8:56 PM ESTIt was wonderful and I was for Pittsburgh......the problem is his behavior later that was extremely threatening for the Charger. Harrison needs to watch his anger or whatever issues they are— Iwas scared and not even there.

The problem I saw later was Harrison's threatening behavior with the downed Arizona player. It scared me and I wasn't even close him. That behaviorer negated the joy and admiration I'd felt. I know it's a thin line, but there should be no tolerance in some areas.

Yes, he might have been deserving game's MVP if he hadn't done it. He did after all change the score by 10-14 points.
What most people haven't heard is that Harrison was hit in the groin by Francisco. That may or may not change your mind but I know if someone hit me in the n*ts I would probably done worse.

#10 - Mon Feb 2, 2009 1:13 PM ESTA closer look at the play shows Fitzgerald running out of bounds on the white margin jumping over and passing up guys on the ground then coming back inbounds to make the tackle at the goal line. Of course this was done with no time on the clock. Was he within the rules to do this or not??????

But where he really gave parents, coaches and everyone working with young people "special fuel" was in his unacceptable behavior later on in the game. He's proof that no matter how good an athlete a person is and no matter how great an asset to the game, unacceptable, unsportsmanlike conduct is not going to be tolerated or respected. A kind, humble player helping the opposing team get up after a play may not get the cheers from the crowd that Harrison illicted when he ran 100 yards, but in the game of life, humility will always garner richer rewards!!!!!

(it was away from the play, and would not have mattered anyway..........) or, (he moved his pivot foot before his started dribbling, so what?)
#16 - Tue Feb 3, 2009 6:33 PM ESTFirstly, I'm a Cardinals fans. But it is really disappointing when a "bad call" or a non-call(s) becomes the deciding factor in a game (especially the Super Bowl). Yes, QB should not have made this throw, but how did Holmes run 100+ yards unscathed. Referees continue to decidedly impact the outcome of games (in basketball, football, etc.). I think there needs to be a better (or updated) review rule book!
#17 - Tue Feb 3, 2009 9:00 PM ESTHarrison made a spectacular interception. What's not epic about a 240 lb linebacker running 100 yards for a score. Its sad they Cardinals could not catch Harrison as he was running out of gas - maybe the offense needs better conditioning. By the way, we won't mention the uncalled facemask on Fitzie when he tried to bring the romping and stomping Harrison down! I'd sound too much like a whiner.
